ILLAMASQUA Sophie-I inspired smokey eye makeup look

Hey everyone!

Here’s my interpretation of the ILLAMASQUA Sophie-I makeup look, the tutorial for which I showed you recently. I tried the look with Inglot eye shadow 414 Pearl and this is how it turned out.

[smartads]

Products used –

  1. MAC Smolder eye kohl to define the shape
  2. Matte black eye shadow from Coastal Scents 88 palette
  3. Inglot 414 Pearl eye shadow on lid
  4. Bourjois 1001 Cils mascara

The tutorial seemed fairly straightforward but it takes a bit of practice to the get the same kind of finish. I’m not too happy with how this one turned out but I’m going to try it out again with another shade.  The most important thing about this look, which I realised after trying it out is to keep the black definition on the outer corner and socket very clean, crisp and intense. Mine got  a little too blended out and doesn’t look intense enough! I think I need a more intense black eye shadow to get the look!

I quite like the look, funny enough I also did this look half an hour back with a different color combination. This look is tricky the video tutorial and look on the model in Sohphie collection launch pictures are quite different in the way the black shadow is shaded & blended in the outer corner. Even I’m planning to re-do this look, will share once I do it. Good work by the way!

I’m still trying to decide what color to try this look with but I like what you did. To get a more defined black line I tend to go in again after i’ve done everything else with a fine thin brush and re-define that black line. That way it’s still blended but you get a strong shape.
