Red carpet looks are always a treat for makeup lovers and fashion geeks!  Here are my top 10 favorite makeup looks from the Golden Globes held on 15th Jan, Sunday Night in Beverly Hills, California. Overall, the three dominant makeup looks were – neutral/bronzed, fresh and natural  and defined eyes with crimson lips. Somehow the makeup trends are pretty much similar each time  but its still fun to go through who wore what. I still wish there were more colors/metallics in the makeup.

1. Understated elegance : Emma Stone

Emma Stone carries a pastel blue smokey eye beautifully paired with a soft pink lip. The whole look fits in gorgeously with her auburn hair and the deep velvet plum of her dress! One of my favorite looks of the evening!

2 . Sunkissed Perfection : Kate Benckinsale

I love the glowing bronzed look , the contouring and highlighting is very subtle  and it looks natural, effortless and gorgeous! I loved her earrings too.

3. Blooming Fresh : Katherine Mcphee

Her look is subtle, fresh and youthful. The soft eyes, rosy blush and natural lipstick comes together beautifully in this look!

4. Bold and Dramatic : Zooey Deschanel

Zooey is wearing heavy mascara with a glitter lip and while this may not be everyone’s favorite, I did like this look. I think she pulls it off really well! Loved her hair and the acid green of the dress as well.

5. Glamorous in Neutrals : Lea Michele

Lea Michele is carrying the nude lipstick very well. The contoured cheeks and defined eyes compliment the nude lips beautifully!

6. Fresh and Natural : Tine Fey

One of those simple, effortlessly natural and pretty looks thats hard to ignore. I love how fresh and rosy this whole look is, eyes are defined softly and the natural glossy pink lips fit perfectly with the plum of her dress.

7. Glowing and fresh: Diane Lane

Another clean, simple and beautifully fresh look. I absolutely loved how beautifully natural and flawless her skin looks here. Also loved the lip color!

8. Casual glamour : Reese Witherspoon

The nude lipstick and warm blush bring together a lovely neutral look on Reese. The casual loose hair gives her a casual yet glamorous look. While this light a lipstick with minimal eye makeup would wash out most women, it looks lovely on her!

9. Poised and Dramatic : Angeline Jolie

One could say I’ve saved the best ones for the end! Angeline Jolie is sporting a gorgeous Crimson lip here which matches perfectly with the red triangle of fabric around the collar of her gown. She matched the lips with a smokey winged liner. The dress isn’t really my cup of tea though it created quite a stir.

10. Classy and Glamorous : Dianna Argon

One of my favorite looks of the evening, Dianna Argon wore an elegant and glamorous deep red lip with lightly contoured cheeks and thick, slightly winged liner. She has lovely features and the makeup enhanced them beautifully!
