Face packs are a must in everyone’s skin care routine- be it home made or ready made. I love using home made face packs but with the time crunch and living away from home (and a home kitchen!), it becomes difficult to make one’s own concoctions. Which is why I’m thankful for Ready-to-use face packs which come to my rescue!

Today I’m reviewing Aroma Magic Witch Hazel face pack for Acne and pimple prone skin type which is one such ready-to-use pack.

What Aroma Magic says about the Witch Hazel Face Pack :

Aroma Magic Witch Hazel Pack is an excellent massage cream for acne prone skin. Has antiseptic and healing properties giving amazing results on acne prone and blemished skin.

Directions for use: Cleanse skin with Aroma Magic Mint Cleanser & further deep cleanse with Aroma Magic Papaya Enzyme Lotion. Apply Aroma Magic Witch Hazel Pack & massage gently. Wipe off after 10 minutes.

Aroma Magic Witch Hazel Pack contains extracts of Witch Hazel, Cabbage, Neem, Seaweed, Beta Carotene & pure essential oils of Juniper Berry, Tea Tree, Rosemary & Eucalyptus.

 

My take on the product

 

Previously, I have tried the Beauty Radiance Pack from Aroma Magic and loved the product! After hearing good reviews about this pack, I decided to try it since I’m always on the lookout for good products for acne and blemished skin. I’ve not had acne for quite a while now though I do get occasional pimples, but since I do have a bit of marks left, products meant for blemished skin tend to work for me.

This face pack comes in the regular Aroma Magic tub packaging. I wish it was a tube packaging- would have been so much more convenient and hygienic to use! One needs to dig their fingers inside the tub to use it and if you have long nails, the product tends to get in them. For this reason, I like the tube packaging of Lotus Herbals face packs.

 

About the product and How to use ?

It is a ready-to-use pack and the texture is like that of a thick gel. It is almost transparent in color and has a faint medicinal odour. The gel makes an excellent massage cream for oily skin as its non-greasy and after massaging one can leave this on the skin for 10-15 min. During the massage, I feel some of it seems to get absorbed in  my skin too. It dries to a transparent film when left to dry and washes off easily with water. It doesn’t dry in 10 minutes and even though the instructions say 10 min, I’ve applied it for longer till it dries and it doesn’t harm the skin. The fact that its a ready-to-use face pack and is non-messy in its use makes it ideal for quick everyday use.

 

 

 

 

How my skin feels after washing ?

The best thing about this is that it doesn’t dry out the skin. My skin feels supple, soft and CLEAN after using this. It doesn’t have a major reduction effect on the pimples, but it does seem to shrink the smaller breakouts to some extent. Skin also feels a little brighter but not because of any film left behind but simply because of the cleansing effect. However, it won’t double up as a cleanser, one does need a face wash/cleanser especially to remove makeup.

Since its a thick gel, one needs to use more product and even though it says 50 g, I got only about 10-11 applications from it whereas I got many more from the same quantity of the Radiance Beauty Pack.

10. Can be used everyday

2. Doesn’t have a huge effect on pimples
3. Gets over quite quickly

 

 

Overall Verdict

 

Its a good face pack in the way that you can use it everyday for a bit of pampering to your skin.  The key to good skin is not just using good products, but using them CONSISTENTLY!  Its usage as a massage cream makes it quite unique and very useful for acne prone/oily skin. The clear gel texture makes it easy and non-messy to apply and wash off. It makes the skin clean and healthier in appearance and smoother in texture on regular use. However, do not expect dramatic reduction in acne/pimples.

I quite like it for everyday use and will repurchase!
