Today I’m reviewing the most natural blush shade in my collection – Maxfactor Flawless Perfection blush in the shade 226 Mulberry.
Price : Rs 520
My take on the product
Maxfactor powder blushes come in a simple rectangular packaging with a transparent cover and a brush inside. The brush isn’t the best but its not bad either – quite useful while traveling or during emergencies. The transparent cover allows for the easy location of the shade. The packaging doesn’t come with a mirror so that can be little inconvenient. The packaging is easy to use but not quite attractive. The plastic cover gets a scratchy old appearance very soon which does not look appealing at all! I wish they revamp the packaging, makeup should be pretty to look at as well!
The texture of this brush is quite soft and smooth though a little powdery. Too much pressure while picking up the product can lead to this :
The blush has sheer/medium pigmentation and can be layered up for desired color. This makes is quite easy to use for beginners. It blends easily and well with any brush. I use Vega blush brush for applying powder blushes. The staying power is quite good – it stays on my oily skin for a good 7-8 hours after which a light hint of color can still be seen on the cheeks. Formula-wise, this blush scores full points- easy to apply and blend, buildable pigmentation and good staying power.
The shade 226 Mulberry :
The shade Mulberry is a natural earthy peach shade – the shade appears more of a nude pink on the arm but looks much warmer on the face. This shade is quite close to my skin tone which is why it doesn’t show up well on the arm but on the face, it gives the most natural looking warm glow! It contains very fine shimmer that doesn’t show up chunky on the cheeks, just gives a bit of sheen. It’s the perfect shade for a natural look and would suit fair/medium skin tones beautifully. I wouldn’t recommend it to dusky skin tones as it would not show up on their skin. I wonder why they named it Mulberry, this isn’t how I’d imagine Mulberry shade to be!
I’m NC 40 for reference, the blush *just* shows up on my skin tone.

Maxfactor Flawless Perfection blushes are excellent powder blushes with a great formula – they are easy to apply and blend, have buildable pigmentation and stay on for 7-8 hours easily.
