Its the last day of 2011, hope you all have your outfit and makeup ready for the New Year party! In case any of you are still undecided, here’s a simple party eye makeup tutorial to help you out! Its a basic warm shimmery party eye with the 2 shades that work beautifully against Indian skin tones – Chocolate and Gold.
I have used the Bobbi Brown Chocolate and Gold eye paint palette I’d previewed HERE for this look.
Products used for this look :
- Bobbi Brown Chocolate and Gold eye paint palette (all shades except the black)
- MAC Smolder eye kohl
- Bobbi Brown long wear gel eye liner – Caviar Ink
- L’oreal Paris Volume Million lashes mascara
- Brushes – MAC 239, 217, 219, Sephora eye shadow applicator, Sephora angled liner brush
Step 1 : After priming your eyes, start by applying a white gold eye shadow in the inner corner and inner 1/4th of the lid.
I have used the lightest shade from the Bobbi brown palette shown, applied wet for an intense look.
Step 2 : Apply a chocolate brown eye shadow in the outer corner and crease and blend
I have used the Chocolate brown shade from the Bobbi brown palette, applied using MAC 239 brush.
Step 3 : Apply a khaki-gold eye shadow in the centre of the lid all over, leaving the inner corner and outer corner.
Blend the shades together. I have applied the Khaki–gold shade from the Bobbi brown palette. Also apply the lightest gold shade on the browbone.
Step 4 : Apply kohl on the waterline.
I have used MAC Smolder eye kohl.
Step 5 : Apply the same chocolate brown eye shadow to the lower lash line 3/4th of the way , starting from outer corner.
I have used MAC 219 brush to apply the same shade from the Bobbi Brown palette to the lower lash.
Step 6 : Using a black/brown liner, line upper lash line neatly and end with a slight wing for a glamorous look!
I have used Bobbi Brown gel liner in ‘Caviar Ink‘.
Step 7 : Finish off with dramatic volumizing mascara for the ultimate party eye look!
One can pair this eye makeup with any warm blush and a peachy brown or warm red lipstick. Even deep raspberry/plum shades look great with gold eye shadow. See my FOTD HERE. This look can also be worn by brides looking for simple subtle eye makeup.
Hope you liked it 🙂
