My take on the product
The BeYu single eye shadow comes in a simple transparent and silver round packaging. The cover is transparent and allows the color of the eye shadow show through. The packaging doesn’t come with a mirror or an applicator and the silver edges wear off with time giving the packaging a very dull and worn out appearance. The product is a little pricey and one would expect a little better and more durable packaging.
The texture of this eye shadow is pretty soft and smooth. The pigmentation is excellent and a small amount gives true color on the eyes. It blends quite easily doesn’t get patchy or uneven. It stays on for a good 4 hours with minimal creasing and fading without a primer. I have oily lids and 4 hours is a good wear time for me (without primer). With a primer underneath, one can easily wear this eye shadow for 7-8+ hours.
The shade 114 Parsley drop :
My purchase of this eye shadow dates to my early blogging days when I was looking for a true green eye shadow. I didn’t like anything I’d seen at Maybelline, Revlon, Chambor, Bourjois and ended up at the BeYu counter at Pantaloons. I saw this eye shadow there which was pretty much the shade I was looking for and despite the slightly higher price tag, I bought it. The shade is a lovely soft and muted green – more on the earthier side which makes it perfect for warmer complexions. It has a subtle pearl finish so it doesn’t look too frosty or sparkly and yet, doesn’t look too flat or dull either.
Formula-wise, this is an excellent product but for the price, I would like liked better packaging and perhaps an applicator.
BeYu single eye shadows come in simple round packaging which does not contain a mirror or applicator. The dull packaging takes off some of the points from an otherwise great product. The texture is smooth and soft, its blends easily and gives a decent staying power. The shade 114 Parsley drop is a muted earthy green with a soft pearl finish. The shade is not too loud yet colorful enough to add a bit of oomph to the look. I personally really like this shade though I feel I could find something similar in Inglot at a better price. Another con of this product is its poor availability, I wish one of the online webstores would stock BeYu!
