My take on the product
The product comes in a round tub packaging. The packaging is cute but the packaging is unhygienic, its quite annoying when the product gets under the nails everytime one applies the product!
The texture of this lip butter is actually like butter and the color is also a light buttery yellow. This product is best used under lipsticks or at night as it leaves a white cast on the lips. It has a strong shea nut fragrance – a warm sweet and heavy scent that reminds one of cakes and cookies. Everyone may not like this fragrance, I sometimes find it too heavy but quite comforting at times, especially in winters. Because of its thick and heavy texture, it doesn’t really absorb into the lips but just sits on top. This is the reason I feel its best used as a night time lip product. It is quite moisturizing and makes the lips soft and supple. I generally use a thick layer of this on my lips before bedtime and my morning, my lips feel hydrated though left with a white cast.
Its a great product for winters and for those with dry lips. The little tub packs quite a quantity, I’ve been using it for months now and I’ve barely used about 40% of the product. If you have dry lips or like the shea/cocoa/vanilla scents, this is must-have for you!
The Body Shop lip butters come in a tub packaging and have a thick buttery texture which is quite hydrating though not suitable for day time wear. It leaves a white cast on the lips and is best used for night time application. The product is heavily fragrances with the shea/vanilla-like scent which may not be liked by everyone. Apart from the scent, the product is excellent for hydrating lips especially for dry lips or during winters. It is one of night time must-haves and I highly recommend these! My mum who has dry lips has gone through tubs ans tubs of the The Body Shop lip butters!
