Today I’m reviewing one of my latest find and favorite lip colors – Inglot freedom system lipstick in the shade 27.
Price : Rs 250 for refill pan
Quantity : 1.5 g
Inglot’s freedom system allows one to choose refill pans of lipsticks as well as eye shadows of desired shades. While few other brands like MAC also have a freedom system for eye shadows, lipstick refills are unique to Inglot. These lipsticks refills are priced at Rs 250 and contain about 1.5 g of product. Most lipsticks contain about 4 g of product on an average so in that way, the price of a full sized Inglot lipstick would be somewhere between Rs 650-700. So for its quantity, its not a cheap product, but it delivers excellent quality and the smaller size not only makes it more affordable but gives one the chance to try out more shades without burning a hole in one’s pocket.
The texture of the Inglot lipstick is extremely creamy and yet it is quite light weight. It is super pigmented and even the teeny bit of product gives a good amount of colour. One would need a brush to apply the product on one’s lips. The lipstick spreads easily, does not get patchy or uneven and is super comfortable on the lips. It gives opaque coverage to the lips and covers up any pigmentation easily. The best part about this lipstick is its amazing staying power. It stays on the lips for about 7-8 hours with meals in between. The color does not bleed or smudge beyond the lip area neither does it get uneven as it fades. The finish is somewhere between creamy and semi-matte and it leans more towards semi-matte after a few hours of wear. It doesn’t feel drying even after 7-8 hours.
This is hands down one of the best lipsticks I have used. If you’ve not tried the Inglot lipstick refills, you are missing something in life! Highly recommended to everyone! One of the best textures and formula and at an amazingly reasonable price – definitely a must–try!
The shade 27 :
The shade 27 is a deep raspberry red with a creamy/semi matte finish. Its not quite pink and not quite red, one could also call it a cool toned red but I think there’s a bit of raspberry there too. It is a beautiful shade for Fall/Winter and would look gorgeous across all skin tones. One could also use a very tiny amount of product for just a stained effect like I’ve worn HERE. I love these kind of shades as they bring a lot of life to the face and at the same time are quite statement making and powerful as well. The shade may appear cool toned but it works well with warm eye/cheek makeup too. I’ve worn it with Gold eye shadow and a warm peachy brown blush and it goes perfectly well!
