Hey everyone!
Today I’m doing a Glittery party eye tutorial for the upcoming Christmas/New Year party season. You can use any glittery dark shade of plum/blue/green or brown for this look to the same effect. This is one time of the year when one can get away with oodles of glitter and drama in one’s makeup!
Products used :
- MAC Select moisture cover concealer NC 45.5 (Review HERE)
- NYX HD eye shadow base (Review HERE)
- MAC Pigments – Jigs n Jive, Reflects Blackened Red
- MAC Smolder eye kohl (Review HERE)
- NYX Bronze Smokey look kit (Preview HERE)
- Brushes – MAC 217, MAC 219
- Avon Superextend mascara (Review HERE)
Prep the eye area with a primer before applying the makeup.
Step 1 : Apply black kohl on upper lash line, lid and waterline
I have used MAC Smolder eye kohl.
Step 2 : Smudge the kohl using a smudging brush
I have used MAC 217 brush to smudge.
Step 3 : Apply a shimmery tan eye shadow in the inner corner and inner 1/3rd of the lid
I have MAC Pigment Jigs and Jive
Step 4 : Apply a brown eye shadow in outer corner and crease. Blend.
I have used brown eye shadow from NYX Smokey look kit and MAC 217 to blend
Step 5 : Apply golden highlighter on browbone
I have used frosty light gold eye shadow from NYX Bronze smokey look kit. Applied using MAC 217 brush.
Step 6 : Apply a glittery plum(or any other dark shade) pigment at the outer 1/3rd of the lid using a damp brush
I have used MAC Pigment ‘Reflects Blackened Red’ , applied with MAC 217 brush
Step 7 : Apply a small amount of the glitter on lower lash line. Clean up the fall out with a moist cotton bud.
Step 8 : Line upper lash line with kohl and Finish off with dramatic mascara!
Since the Glittery eye makeup is the star of the show, keep the rest of the makeup understated. A soft pink blush with natural pink gloss would look great with this look!
