Today I’m reviewing the newly launched Bourjois Smile Enhancing lip gloss in the shade 05 Framboise Hollywood.
Price : Rs 680. I purchased it from Beauty Centre, Khar for Rs 612.
Quantity : 5.5 ml for the gloss, 2 ml for teeth brightening gel

My take on the product
The product comes in a transparent plastic outer cover with the shade mention, price, ingredient and product description. The product itself has a tube packaging with the gloss at one end and the tooth brightening gel at the other end. The design of the tube is such that it is flattened at the ends and round in the middle which gives it quite a interesting look. The gloss applicator is the regular slanted tip sponge tip applicator that applies gloss evenly on the lips. The quantity of the gloss is 5 ml whereas that of the tooth brightening gel is 2 ml. The tooth brightening gel also comes with a slanted sponge tip applicator.

The texture of the lip gloss is absolutely non sticky and weightless though a little runny. It glides easily on the lips to give intensecolor and medium coverage. Since the shade is quite deep, medium coverage is enough to cover up any pigmentation on the lips.The lip gloss feels super comfortable on the lips, one doesn’t even feel like there is some product on the lips. It has a creamy texture which is moisturizing and gives a wet glossy finish to the lips. The lip gloss stays on the lips for a good 5-6 hours including meals in between. I don’t how Bourjois combines such awesome texture and feel with good staying power! Most products that stay this long impart some degree of stickiness or dryness but this gloss feels moisturizing, light and comfortable. One small con is that since its a little runny, one needs to go over with the lips with the applicator 2-3 times for the color to look even.
The tooth brightening gel is a bit of a dud. It is a clear gel which I guess contains some mild bleaching agent to give whiter teeth but I did not feel any difference in my teeth after applying it. The gel as well as the gloss have a mint flavor which I didn’t personally like so much in the gloss, it reminded me of toothpaste – fine on the teeth but not on the lips!

The shade 05 Framboise Hollywood is a deep raspberry pink shade with fine shimmer. The shade is really intense and looks absolutely gorgeous! I love pigmented glosses and this has become one of my favorites! It looks super glamorous when worn with just thick liner and loads of mascara! For a more subtle effect, I just apply a thin coat of it like I’ve worn HERE. For intense color, I dip the applicator in the tube for some product and apply a second layer. The shimmer in the product is non-gritty and does not stick on the lips once the color has faded. However, if you try to remove the gloss right after applying it, the shimmer is going to stick around and spread if you rub too much. The shimmer is bluish in color which I think is responsible to give a whiter appearance to the teeth but I do not really see any big difference.
The gloss is priced higher than the regular gloss range and the extra money may seem like waste since the tooth brightening gel doesn’t work but for 5 ml of gloss of this quality, I feel the price is quite good!
Shades available : The product comes in 3 more shades- a clear shade, a warm nude and cool light pink nude.
The shade is cooler and darker than how it appears below. My camera just wouldn’t capture the color right. However, I found another review with a very accurate picture of the color. You can see it HERE.

- Attractive packaging, clear tube allows color to show through
- Smooth creamy lightweight texture
- Moisturizing
- Pigmented
- Non sticky texture
- Does not feather or bleed
- Stays on 5+ hours including meals
- Shimmer is fine and non gritty
- Shade gives a brightening glamorous look to the face
- The teeth brightening gel barely has any effect
- Mint flavor in gloss/gel may not be liked by everyone
- The color may not suit everyone

Overall Verdict
Bourjois Smile Enhancing lip gloss 05 Framboise Hollywood is deep raspberry pink lightweight, non sticky and creamy lipgloss with bluish shimmer that is moisturizing and stays on for 5+ hours on the lips. The formula is pigmented, comfortable and light but has a mint flavor which I personally did not enjoy. It gives medium coverage that is enough to cover pigmented lips. The teeth brightening gel did nothing for me but the gloss is totally worth the price!

i went especially to check out this stuff but somehow was not impressed enough to buy it , but i did pick up the new rotating mascara from them

Ya Beauty Centre has the whole range, I don’t recall seeing the foundation, I was too busy with the glosses 
But they generally carry the whole range.
