Wow another one of the best looks..using black as base really brings out the colors so well na? it completely changes the look! I am def bookmarking few of your eye looks and gonna try them soon..got to first buy few basic eyeshadow brushes..I do own the faces one and Mac 217 one..any other do I need? any suggestions?

Reply
Corallista said on 26-10-2011

thank you so much Parita :) Using black as a base does really help in making the colors pop! The Faces on is really good, you could get a double of that. 217 is good for application as well as blending. Would also suggest one smudging brush. You can check out my post on eye makeup brushes -

I am planning to splurge a bit in coming few months on good decent eyeshadows and looking for colors purple/blue/tealgreen/gold etc very similar to ones you use in your tutorials :) Thank you!

[...] Just like MAC Fluidline Dipdown, it sets to a waterproof and smudge proof finish after application yet not so fast that it cannot be smudged for smokey looks. The shade is a solid flat black as described by MAC. It is waterline safe and can be used as kohl, it can be used simply as liner or smudged and used as base for a smokey eye. I have used it for the purple smokey eye makeup tutorial HERE. [...]
