Hi everyone!
Today I’m doing a step by step tutorial of the Metallic Copper smokey eye makeup look I wore in my FOTD HERE. I had a lot of requests for a tutorial for this look and here is the much awaited step wise tutorial!
This look is very simple to create and doesn’t require a lot of products either. First we will create a base on the lids with kohl and matte black eye shadow and then we will just press the copper pigment on top of it and finish off with some highlighter and mascara. You can also create this look with any other color shimmery metallic eye shadow.
Final look :
Products used :
- MAC Smolder eye kohl
- Coastal Scents 88 matte palette – matte black eye shadow
- Coastal Scents eye shadow – Swiss Chocolate
- MAC Pigment- Naked
- Avon super curlacious mascara
- Brushes : Faces eye makeup brush, MAC 217 , NYX contour brush, Coastal Scents crease brush
- Colorbar instant cover up stick – 003 Almond Coffee
Start with clean eye. I’m not using a primer.
Step 1 : Apply kohl on waterline and on entire lid.
I have used MAC Smolder eye kohl.
Step 2 : Smudge and soften the edges using smudging brush
Step 3 : Set the kohl with matte black eye shadow
Do not swipe/wipe the eye shadow, use a patting motion to apply the eye shadow. Do not go much beyond the crease. Apply the black eye shadow to the lower lash line too.
Step 4 : Soften the edges in the crease using a blending brush.
Step 5 : Apply the shimmery brown/copper eye shadow.
Pat the eye shadow so that the base we have created is not disturbed/wiped off with the brush. You can either apply a small amount of eye shadow to let some of the black show thorough or apply it densely. I have applied it densely here.
Apply the same eye shadow to outer 3/4th of lower lash line too.
Step 6 : Blend the eye shadow in the crease.
Apply highlighter to brow bone / inner corner and concealer in the under eye region
Step 7 : Finish off with mascara
Completed FOTD

absolutely Gorgeous!!! the entire look is drool worthy…
Ankita- have you tried curling ur lower half of the hair? I mean big soft curls – they’ll look so cool on you!
Thanks Bee
No I’ve not tried that. I’d got smoothening done few months back so now the lower part of my hair is straight while the roots are my natural hair. Once my hair grows out, I’ll give that a try
Very pretty Ankita
Thank u Eesha
WOW! I’m surprised by how the base doesn’t how through but somehow adds to the look of the shadow!

This is really nice!! can u suggest anything else instead of the Swiss Chocolate ??? Would love to try this look
I think any coppery shadow will do. Chambor has a trio with a similar shade but its not as shimmery as this one but it’ll give a more toned down look which will look really pretty too!
superb…..:)
Thanks Kanika
