Hi everyone!
Today I’m reviewing MAC Pigment in the shade ‘Naked‘.
Price : Rs 1250 for 4.5 g
I picked it up as part of a 5 pigment set (each containing 2.5 g) from the Tartan Tale collection. Price : Rs 2300 for 5 pigments

What MAC says about Pigments :
Pigment is a highly concentrated loose colour powder that contains ingredients to help it adhere to the skin. Create a subtle wash of colour or an intense effect. Does not streak or cake. Easy to blend and long-lasting. Please note: Pigments are sold by weight not volume. Containers can appear to be less than full due to settling of the product
NAKED : Fleshy beige w/ pearl (Matte)

My take on the product
Naked is part of a 5 pigment set I picked up from the Tartan Tale collection last winter. As described by MAC, its a ‘fleshy beige‘ color with a pearl finish. The shade is almost neutral and hence works well for both warm and cool skin tones. Pigments are described as ‘multi-use’ products by MAC – can be used on eyes, lips, face and nails as well. I generally use Naked as a highlighter for brow bone, inner corner and cheek bones.
For everyday wear, I like using just a small amount of the product on my brow bone for a subtle highlighting effect. For more dramatic looks, I use a little more of the product for a more intense effect. The pigment can also work as a lovely all over lid color for fair skin tones.
The product is finely filled and blends easily. It lasts 7-8 hours easily on me on the eyes and a little lesser on the face since I have very oily skin. If used properly, there is barely any fall out.
A very small amount is needed in each application and even the smaller 2.5 g size jar will last me a long long time,
Highly recommended to everyone.
The GOOD about MAC Pigment ‘Naked ‘ –
- Finely milled.
- Smooth texture
- Blends easily
- Gorgeous shade- will work for all skin tones
- The pearl finish is neither too loud, nor too subtle- will work for all occasions and looks.
- Only a small amount needed for each application.
- Multi- use- can be used on eyes as well as face.
- Since its a loose pigment, it needs a little practice in handling otherwise it leads to fall out.
- Expensive.
- MAC is not available everywhere
This is how it looks on me (I have used it as highlighter on brow bone and inner corner)
Overall Verdict
It is a fleshy beige pigment with a pearl finish – the neutral shade will work for both warm and cool skin tones. The texture is extremely fine milled, its blends easily and a very small amount is required in each application. The shimmer/pearl is not too much and it can be used as an highlighter in everyday makeup too. It will also work very well as an all over lid shade for fair skin tones.
Highly recommended.
