5-minute everyday eye makeup step-by-step photo tutorial and EOTD

Hi everyone!

Today I’m doing a step-by-step photo tutorial of an everyday eye makeup look which I wear quite often. Its a slightly smokey look that is quick to do and subtle enough for everyday wear.

What you need for this look –

[smartads]

  1. Concealer – I’m using Colorbar Instant cover up stick concealer 003 (not pictured)
  2. Kohl Pencil – I’m using Maybelline colossal kajal
  3. Any medium/dark eye shadow – I’m using MAC Β Twinks eye shadow
  4. A smudging brush – I’m using The Body Shop line softener brush
  5. An applicator and blending brush – I’m using Faces eye makeup brush
  6. Mascara – I’m using Maybelline colossal volume mascara
  7. Highlighter (optional) I’m using NYX Jumbo pencil Yogurt

Here’s the tutorial –

Step 1 : Start by concealing the under eye and priming the lid. Set with powder.

Step 7 : Apply kohl very lightly on the waterline. Since the look is very soft, we don’t want deep black, just a bit of definition.

Step 8: Apply highlighter on inner corner and brow bone. Finish off with mascara.

Very much what I do on a daily basis when off to work and there’s nothing much that’d smudge off or wouldn’t last, so it’s great! πŸ™‚

Ohh this look is so subtle, please do try it out! Use a matte brown – like the one from Maybelline Chai Latte and it will look like a very soft wearable brown natural smokey eye!

Can it be used on cheeks as well as a highlighter??? or its too shimmery for cheeks???

It can be used on cheeks too. It doesn’t look too shimmery if blended. But it might make oily skin look a little greasy since its cream based.
