My take on the product
The concealer comes in a handy pencil form of packaging. The pencil is about 4 inches in length and quite chubby (like Lakme Fantasy collection ones). The packaging makes is easy to carry around and makes touch-ups feasible which is not possible with my MAC Select moisture cover concealer which has a tube packaging with a wand applicator. The pencil sharpens easily with a sharpener meant for chubbier pencils. However, there’s a bit of product wastage while sharpening which is annoying since the pencil itself is quite small.
It comes in only 3 shades and fortunately the shade 003 Almond Coffee matched perfectly with my skin tone. The texture of the pencil is very smooth and creamy and there is not tugging or pulling of the under eye area while applying. For the same reason however, it gets used up faster. Once applied, you just need to pat the area with fingers to blend it in. It blends in well to give a very natural finish.
It is very easy to apply and blends in quickly which is why I find myself reaching out for it most often when I’m in a hurry. It is also good for spot concealing blemishes and dark spots and gives pretty good coverage.
It gives almost full coverage to the under eyes and acne marks. I do not have a lot of under eye pigmentation but the skin is sort of translucent such that my veins show through. It covers it up very well giving a flawless finish.
The formula is good but it doesn’t give me a full day’s wear. It starts wearing off/fading after about 6-7 hours however doesn’t disappear completely. Setting with powder prolongs its wear time but I find it a little drying when topped with powder. Unlike liquid based concealers, stick type concealers do not provide a lot of moisture so people with dryness under the eyes need to moisturize before applying otherwise it accentuates the dry and flaky areas. I do not use eye cream which is why I prefer not to top it with powder.
The shade selection is limited but if you can find your match, should definitely give it a try.

OTHER EYE :
The GOOD about Colorbar instant cover up stick concealer 003 Almond Coffee Review :
- Handy, convenient packaging- makes it super easy to apply.
- Smooth, creamy texture- does not tug the delicate eye area.
- Blends easily to give natural smooth finish.
- Does not need topping off with powder.
- Gives near opaque coverage.
- Lasts about 6-7 hours easily and longer when set with powder.
- Does not disappear complete even while wearing off.
- Does not settle into lines.
- Good for spot concealing.
- Sharpens easily.
- Product wastage in sharpening.
- Gets used up fast because of its creamy texture.
- Not very moisturizing- Will not blend well on dry/flaky skin.
- A little expensive for the quantity.
- Not easily available everywhere.
- Does not last a full day.
- Limited shades.
It is concealer in a pencil form which makes application and touch ups very easy and convenient. The texture is quite smooth and creamy, blends easily and gives almost opaque coverage. Women with dryness under the eyes will need to moisturize before applying since its not too moisturizing. Even though its a great product, I find it a little expensive for the quantity. The shade selection is limited too and everyone might not find a close match.
However if you can find your match, I highly recommend it despite its cons. It will not disappoint!
Rating : 3.75/5 (considering the cons listed above)
Will I repurchase : I already have a backup. Will repurchase unless I find a cheaper alternative which matches my skin tone so well.
