Today I’m reviewing Avon super curlacious mascara which is a new mascara launched by Avon.
I was never a big mascara fan and used it only when I did elaborate eye shadows but recently I’ve started wearing it everyday and now I can say with certainty that I’m a mascara addict!

What Avon says about the product : The first curling mascara that actually curls and sets to hold for a n unprecendented all day extreme curl, without the use of an eye lash curler. A bigger, better, bolder curl that never let lashes down. 2X the curve of natural lashes. Lash curling polymer grabs each lash without clumping. After drying, the formula creates lash curl bu contracting. Waterproof!
My take on the product :
Prior to using this, Maybelline colossal volume mascara was my HG for volume and curl but I hated how hard it was to remove. This mascara gives a similar effect of volume+curl like Maybelline colossal volume AND it comes off with Cetaphil cleanser much more easily than the Maybelline one! I love the way it looks my eye lashes look longer , more curled and denser and stays put till you remove it with cleanser. It is waterproof- i.e sweat, natural body oils and mild moisture will not cause it to smudge or bleed but if you splash water on your face, it’ll start flaking off.
The packaging is nothing very attractive – simple black with the the name written in pink which is not very noticeable unless you are really looking at it. The brush is curved to fit the lashes while applying and I find application much easier with this wand instead of the regular flat wand. The brush is very dense- typical of volumizing mascaras. Because of the curve of the wand, I find it easier to apply mascara on my lower lashes too.

The “curl” word has been used a million times by Avon in it description but I didn’t find it super curlacious..it does give more curl than all other mascaras I’ve used so far but I wouldn’t call is super curlacious. I feel it gives a great combination of curl+volume+length.
The formula is blackest black in color and it takes a few seconds to dry. I once happened to sneeze right after applying it and the formula from my lower lashes for transferred to my under eye. Thankfully, it can be wiped off with moist tissue without creating a mess.

The GOOD about Avon super curlacious mascara-
- Packaging is sturdy.
- Wand is curved which makes application easier.
- Gives curl,volume and length for dramatic effect.
- Formula is waterproof.
- Feels very light on the lashes.
- Does not clump.
- Comes off easily with cleanser- mild cleansers will also do, not necessary to use oil based cleanser.
- Stays on entire day without need of touch ups.
- Well priced.
- Packaging is dull.
- Formula takes a few seconds to dry.
Overall Verdict : Its the perfect substitute for Maybelline colossal volume mascara for me- It gives a great combination of curl, length and volume (though not as volumizing as Maybelline one). It is waterproof , feels very light on the lashes and comes off easily with mild cleanser which makes it the perfect mascara! If you prefer dramatic lashes, then this is a must-have product and highly recommended to pick it up now on offer. The curved wand makes application easier and gives more curl. The only cons being dull packaging and a few seconds of drying time.

You can feel the product is there if you touch your lashes but it doesn’t harden them like Maybelline colossal volume one.
